Can't remember if any of was in the backcountry and rainforest areas. But it's definitely noir. Waiwaiole is a native Hawaiian writer whose later books featuring a poker playing protagonist are set in Portland, OR. I think he should've stuck to the islands.J F Norrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06473487417479127354noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33110302.post-48318062093294647892015-01-18T00:50:20.311-05:002015-01-18T00:50:20.311-05:00Funny, when put into the context of sewing, I have...Funny, when put into the context of sewing, I have no problem with it at all. One can enjoy sausage without knowing how it is made. In other words, the back story sometimes interferes with readers' imaginations. Why on earth did they ever give this such an awful name?

Rick Robinsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07978136287154214297noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33110302.post-87222119724778322152015-01-17T11:57:47.579-05:002015-01-17T11:57:47.579-05:00Certainly sounds like an absolutely fascinating se...Certainly sounds like an absolutely fascinating setting.Charles Gramlichhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02052592247572253641noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33110302.post-40919653715880583672015-01-17T07:35:52.902-05:002015-01-17T07:35:52.902-05:00Good to see this series back, Patti.
