I have one gift and one only. It is an ability to screen out all commercial. So I don't remember it although maybe it wasn't a national commercial. Wait two gifts. I also never heard sermons. Drove my mother crazy, "What were you doing when Pastor Ernst was talking about Cain and Abel?"
One of the better songs to come out of early 80's British synth pop. Most of which hasn't aged well. And few of the bands went on to a long career. Pet Shop Boys is probably the best exception.
I always liked that song. Jackie still calls it "the cookie song" because it was used in a commercial for (I believe) Chips Ahoy cookies.
ReplyDeleteYes, it was Chips Ahoy. Four cookies sitting in a convertible, singing the song, are plucked one by one from the car.

Patti, that is very funny about your gifts and you lifted my spirits. Those are gifts I would love to have.
ReplyDeleteBut you also have the gift of writing well.
Thanks, Tracy. The others came naturally. Writing I had to work on a lot more.

ReplyDeleteOne of the songs that always seemed to be playing as my kids were growing up.
ReplyDeleteOh, I haven't thought of this song in a while, Patti - thanks for the memory of it!
