Thank you from me as well. You started Forgotten Books during kind of a rotten time in my life, and being able to participate in it was a very welcome distraction that has grown into a big part of my reading.
Me too, Patti. I have enjoyed the Forgotten Books posts for years, but when I started contributing on a regular basis, it brought a focus to my reading, reviewing and posting. Thanks so much making the effort for so many years.
I hope this decision is becuase you want to and not because something has happened medical wise with Phil. You two are in my thoughts constantly and I hope things are going as well as possible.
Thank you for allowing me to be a small part of things over the years, Patti.
Kevin, I think of you so often. I hope that things have eased up even a tiny bit. I am sure you above all people can appreciate the fatigue that has set in after four years of this. Phil had a stomach flu last week. At first it appeared to be something more ominous so they pulled him off chemo until he regains some weight. He has lost so much weight due to constant nausea, which no drug seems to help.
Oh, yes. It is a seige. It just goes on and on and on.
Did you ever try the Ensure stuff? Even when the drugs would not help, that worked for Sandi. If you have not tried it, give it a shot. It absolutely will not hurt him and hopefully will help. And, yes, it sounds wacky, but it does work. Or at least it did here.
I hesitate to offer too many suggestions as I am not there and so I don't see things happening. I also don't want to overstep and offend. But, I am mentioning this again as it really did help a lot here.
You’ve done a heroic job, Patti, thank you for all your hard work for so long. I hope you’ll still participate with reviews as you can.
ReplyDeleteHeroic, brilliant and supportive.
ReplyDeleteRick got it right.

ReplyDeleteAnd I hope all of you continue to review books. I sure hope to.
