To put my mind in a better place, here are my favorite albums as a teenager. Get ready for the "olden days"

Highway 61, Bob Dylan,
Let It Bleed, Rolling Stones;
Wildflowers, Judy Collins,
Pet Sounds, The Beach Boys;
Sounds of Silence, Simon and Garfunkle.
If You Can Believe Your Eyes and Ears, The Mamas and the Papas;
The Animals, The Animals;
Where Did Our Love Go, The Supremes;
My Generation, THE Who;
Mr. Tambourine Man, The Byrds.

What were yours?

  1. I did not really get into the Beatles until my twenties. I did love the Supremes. Also The Four Tops and The Fifth Dimension.

  6. At sixteen it was mostly folk albums, Peter, Paul and Mary, Pete Seeger, Chad Mitchell Trio, Limelighters, and so on. Add the early Beatles, early Beach Boys to the mix.

  7. I was late to come to jazz-more like late 20s. Every album on Steve's list might have been on mine. Four Tops and the Motown was more in my early teens. I never had money to buy albums then so didn't know in their entirety until later.
