    In a capella singing the most important thing is a real bass, rather than a baritone growling at the bottom of his range. The problem is, a real bass is the rarest thing there is.

    I can't resist mentioning that I sang with Barry Carl, the bass of Rockapella, in 1983 in a production of the opera Halka by Moniuszko.
