I had a strange reaction to this when I watched it on TV in Connecticut. I realized how much I missed California. And when I had the chance a while later to move back, I did.
I too was living in So.Cal. at the time. My oldest daughter was about 18 months at the time. The chase started just as I left the house to get groceries. When I got home, my husband was watching TV with our daughter sitting on his lap. "That chase is still going on," he said in a rather surprised way. So I dropped down next to them and we watched the rest of the chase. Surreal indeed.
