This is on my list of all time favorite movies. This movie is largely responsible for turning me into a lifelong bicycle enthusiast. Also, right after I saw this in the theater I went to a record store and bought a recording of Mendelssohn's "Italian Symphony" because I could get enough of that rousing theme used in the soundtrack.
I was sure Dennis Christopher was going to be a star after this. He should've had a more interesting career, but it all boils down to choices and opportunities I guess.
I love BREAKING AWAY. It was the making of Dennis Quaid and Daniel Stern, and Barbara Barrie and Paul Dooley were great.
