That wasn't that long after Neil was playing with his band at community centres in my neighbourhood. The high school he attended before dropping out and starting on the road trip that led to Toronto and then LA is about two minutes from my house. He did not return for the school's 100th anniversary last spring although the organizers hoped he would show up.

ReplyDeleteI like to set the balance on my car radio when this song comes on so I mainly hear the backup singers. Try it some time.
ReplyDeleteI don't know about Buffalo Springfield being underrated, though. I've always heard of them spoken of in glowing terms.
