My favorite poem by Roethke poem is "I Knew a Woman Lovely in Her Bones," which ends with that wonderful line, "I measure time by how a body sways."
That's wonderful, especially with the commentary
I always thought it a wonderful poem and was very surprised that others saw the father as an abusive one.
