I haven't listened to Patti Smith or watched "The Cosby Show" in a very long time. I remember watching Bill Cosby simultaneously with Gary Coleman's "Diff'rent Strokes" and John Ritter's "Three's Company". Sadly, both Coleman and Ritter died young.
Ritter was an especially endearing guy. Crosby was a show that cut through color barriers in terms of audience. Since then, it seems there are shows for a black audience and ones for a white one in terms of comedies.

ReplyDeletePatti - Oh, I remember this show and this episode. There was some brilliant writing there I think.
ReplyDeleteLoved this series in the 80s? when they sent it in Denmark. I haven´t seen it since, though. My daughters would probably enjoy revisiting it with me.
