Thanks, George. All the books I was expecting to see in that category are missing. I was sure PARIAH would be in there. Also thought SHANGHAI MOON and LIFE SENTENCES would be in the first category. You never know with these things.
My wife gave me a copy of BURY ME DEEP for my birthday this weekend. I'm figuring that's what put it over the top. Not sure how I'm going to claim credit when she wins, but I'm working on it.
(The power of my wife's gifts should not be dismissed. She gave me a compilation of James Brown's greatest hits for Christmas the year he died. On Christmas.
I was so excited when I saw Bury Me Deep on the list!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Deb. I appreciated your support of it on Kerrie Smith's blog, too.
ReplyDeleteYou should be very proud of Megan, Patti! BURY ME DEEP is certainly a strong contender to win an Edgar.

ReplyDeleteCongratulations to you as well as Megan; it's apparent you raised your kid right.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! And the other one is a prosecutor. I wonder why the crime focus. Hmmm?
ReplyDeleteSo Cool! Congrats to Megan
ReplyDeleteI was SO pleased to see Bury Me Deep on the list. The book, and Megan, is a winner whether she gets the ugly little Poe statue or not!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Rick. I think so.
ReplyDeleteI loved Bury Me Deep--very deserved.

Doubt her at your own peril.
