Carrie Pilby by Caren Lissner. Great book about a 17 year old genius adjusting to life in NYC after graduating from harvard. Very sweet and a bit of fun sarcasm.
How about bittersweet sort-of-memoir? Bunny Bunny by Alan Zwiebel. It's about the author's friendship with Gilda Radner. One of my favorite books. Very funny and touching. But...if you couldn't tell, someone does die.
If you don't mind fantasy, try Terry Pratchett. Very funny.
A Walk in the Woods by Bill Bryson. I had to put the put down some many times because I was laughing so hard that my gut hurt.
Or anything by Carrie Fisher. Looks great in a golden bikini and can write.

Thanks for the recs. Always meant to read T.P. I've read two Fishers and found her very funny. Bryson's the travel guy, right?
